Accredited Test Facility
Benefits
Entrusting welder certification to ATF specialists makes good business sense for contractors and fabricators. Companies are increasingly realizing the shortcomings of self-qualification and switching to AWS Accredited Test Facilities to test and qualify their welders. ATFs help them to save money, improve productivity, and reduce liability by entrusting their welder certification to the experts.
Certified Welders
*High Paying Jobs
*Highly Respected
*High Demand
One of the best ways to advance your welding career is by earning an AWS Certification. Professional Welding Certification can enhance your career, your lifetime earning potential, and provide you the opportunity to leverage your expanded knowledge and expertise across your current and future professional roles. The welding industry can help you obtain your goals.
"We do what we love and love what we do"
Welding is an excellent career choice. In this era you have to be certified. The more certificates you can compile, the more you will be worth. Even if you already know how to weld, an inferior welder with more certificates will get the job before you. The more specialized you become, the more you will earn.
Welder Certification Testing
Welding certification is one of the most commonly misunderstood things in our industry. There is not a single welding certification test that will certify you to weld everything, or certify you for all applications of a specific welding process (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW or SMAW). Certification testing is done to a specific code, which is selected based on your application and job requirements. Welding codes are written for a particular industry or product type such as Structural Steel, Sheet Metal, Aluminum or Stainless Steel; Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Piping Systems; Aerospace Welding; and many more. Each of these codes requires a welder to prove they are qualified by passing a Welder Performance Qualification Test. This is a practical exam that tests your ability to make quality welds, and there is no written test for any commonly used code.
The welding certifications validate your knowledge and skill level to a potential employer.
